Scientific name
Gaeumannomyces graminis var. avenae
Common Names
Take-All Patch, Take-All Root Rot
Take-All Patch is a destructive fungal disease that attacks the roots, stolons and rhizomes of turfgrass, reducing the plant's ability to absorb water and nutrients. It is most commonly found on bentgrass but can also affect other cool-season turf species. The disease is favoured by cool, wet conditions, poorly drained soils, alkaline (high pH) soils, and nutrient deficiencies. Early symptoms appear as small yellow or bronze patches that gradually enlarge into circular dead areas with blackened roots and stolons. As the disease progresses, weeds or other grass species often invade the centre of affected patches.

On turf with a history of recurring outbreaks: Rotate ProForce Regiment 550EC with ProForce Clean Sweep Trio Fungicide to improve resistance management and season-long disease control.
In poorly drained or stressed turf: Improve drainage, reduce plant stress, and incorporate ProForce Clean Sweep Trio Fungicide into a preventative disease management program.
