The Root Deflector Dimpled Barrier is a cuspated (dimpled) root control system designed to redirect root growth downward, reducing the risk of surface damage to surrounding infrastructure.
Commonly used in tree planting and root management applications, this barrier helps encourage deeper root systems, improving tree stability and drought tolerance while protecting nearby structures.
Although vertically ribbed barriers are often preferred in some applications, this dimpled design remains widely used and effective in guiding root growth and providing protection in urban and landscaped environments.
The barrier is supplied in 30 metre rolls and available in 600mm and 1000mm depths, allowing flexibility depending on site requirements.
It is easy to install without specialist equipment, making it suitable for both new installations and retrofit applications around existing trees. For secure joins between rolls, ReRoute joining tape can be used to create root-proof connections.
