AI Usage Policy

We recognise that Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools can support learning and streamline certain administrative processes. However, their use must align with the principles of academic integrity, compliance with the Standards for RTOs, and assessment authenticity.

1. Permitted Use
AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Grammarly, translation tools) may be used by students for:

Research support and study assistance

Generating ideas or summarising information (non-assessed work)

Grammar or spelling correction

2. Prohibited Use
AI tools must not be used to:

Complete assessments on behalf of the learner

Generate answers for knowledge or performance-based tasks

Copy or rephrase assessment tasks in a way that misrepresents a learner's own competency

Such use may constitute plagiarism or cheating, and breaches will be investigated under our assessment and misconduct policies.

3. Privacy and Data Security
Learners must not enter personal, sensitive, or confidential data into publicly available AI platforms.
